Who can participate in clinical trials?
In Clinical trials new medicines are tested in a number of different people, because people are individuals and therefore respond differently to treatments. In each clinical trial, researchers develop criteria such as age, sex, stage of a specific disease, previous treatment history, and other medical conditions that determine whether you can participate in the trial. The requirements for participating may vary depending on the trial in question. Some studies seek participants who suffer from the specific diseases that will be researched, while others are looking for healthy participants.
